Job description

Complexio’s Foundational AI platform automates business processes by ingesting and understanding complete enterprise data—both structured and unstructured.

Through proprietary models, knowledge graphs, and orchestration layers, Complexio maps human-computer interactions and autonomously executes complex workflows at scale.

As an Engineering Manager you’ll lead a team of talented engineers working on AI-powered applications and infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll split your time between technical execution, strategic planning, and people management.

You’ll be responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, promotions, and offboarding when necessary.

Your ability to foster a high-performing and motivated team culture is essential.

You’ll collaborate closely with other engineering managers, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, technical quality, and team alignment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of engineers through mentorship, coaching, and career development.
  • Own all aspects of team management: hiring, firing, performance management, salary discussions, and feedback cycles.
  • Set priorities and drive execution of AI-powered features and components.
  • Act as a bridge between engineering and business teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Ensure operational excellence through continuous improvements in CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and performance.
  • Collaborate on roadmaps, architectural decisions, and technical strategy.

Qualifications

Leadership & Management

  • 5–10 years of experience leading software development teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to navigate difficult conversationsmanage performance effectively, and build high-trust, high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, growing, and scaling teams during periods of rapid company growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of delivering products successfully to customers.
  • International experience is considered a strong plus.

Technical Background

  • M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and systems design.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWSAzure, or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (KubernetesDockerECS).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub ActionsArgoCD, or Jenkins.
  • Understanding of observability stacks (e.g., PrometheusGrafanaDatadogOpenTelemetry).
  • Knowledge of modern databases and data stores (PostgresRedis, Neo4j, MongoDB, etc.).
