your tasks
As an L1 Application Support Analyst, your main focus will be on ensuring seamless operation and stability of critical business applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing first-line production support (L1) for a designated application portfolio, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Managing the production incident (INC) lifecycle, focusing on timely resolution, root cause identification, and escalation management.
Coordinating and executing application releases into the Production environment, including thorough testing, deployment, and crucial post-release checkouts.
Maintaining the health and compliance of production environments, ensuring they are up-to-date and meet all regulatory standards.
Collaborating with Application Managers to address compliance items, security vulnerabilities, and application risks.
Offering technical and business support to application users and stakeholders across the organization.
Supporting disaster recovery activities by coordinating Contingency of Business (COB) testing and application/infrastructure maintenance efforts.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
what we expect
Approximately 2 years of professional experience in application production support, operations, or a related software development discipline.
Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal) is essential for effective global communication.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Basic to intermediate technical knowledge of core technology platforms and infrastructure components (e.g., Windows/Linux, Weblogic/Websphere, SQL/Oracle databases, MQ, NDM).
Familiarity with information security principles and best practices related to application operations.
Experience working within project environments (e.g., as a team member following Waterfall or Agile methodologies) is a plus.
Exceptional ability to plan, prioritize, and manage a heavy workload and competing operational demands independently.
Bonus: Basic understanding of financial markets, products, or the banking sector will be a distinct advantage.
