Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Audio Design QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team.
If you have a solid background in QA with a strong focus on audio design in video games, and are excited about collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality audio experiences, we want to hear from you.
Daily responsibilities:
- Identifying, analyzing, reporting and helping resolve bugs related to audio by using tools like Wwise, Unreal Engine (or other tools that might be needed) and monitoring the quality of audio design.
- Assessing the overall quality of audio assets, ensuring they meet specified standards and are free from distortions, clipping, or other quality issues.
- Collaborating closely with Sound Design, Music and Audio teams, providing constructive feedback and suggesting improvements on audio assets and identified issues with proposed solutions.
- Overseeing the quality of implemented solutions by conducting thorough testing of all audio elements, including sound effects, music, and voice overs, to ensure they function correctly within the software or game environment.
- Identifying, debugging, and resolving audio-related bugs in Wwise & Blueprints, helping with implementation (Wwise, Blueprints).
- Creating and updating test scenarios and test levels depending on audio design needs.
- Assessing the audio experience from a user’s perspective, ensuring that it enhances gameplay or user interaction and contributes to overall immersion and emotional impact.
- Reviewing and helping maintain documentation related to audio design, and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions to support team learning and exchange of best practices.
- Researching new audio methodologies and trends, proposing and iterating on solutions to improve existing audio design based on industry advancements.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in video game testing, with a focus on audio design or sound engineering.
- Proficiency in using audio tools like Wwise, Unreal Engine, and Blueprints.
- Experience in creating and verifying test scenarios and levels for audio testing.
- Strong understanding of audio production and its role in video games, including sound effects, music, and voice over integration.
- Ability to identify, debug, and report audio-related bugs and ensure their resolution.
- Experience collaborating with development and audio teams, providing constructive feedback.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work, with a focus on accuracy and reliability in testing.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with others.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
