As a leader of our Assurance and Risk Advisory (ARA) function, you will play an integral role in bringing value to the business to help the organization achieve its strategic objectives.

The Director is responsible for establishing the direction of the function and leading financial, operational, and compliance internal audit projects.

This entails having industry expertise, including a comprehensive understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and emerging risks to effectively support internal audit activities.

The Director will be accountable for maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and promoting collaboration across various risk and control functions.

Expertise in internal audit principles, methodologies, and practices is required.

+ Develops a risk-based audit plan and leads the team in executing risk-based audit activities, while maintaining a thorough understanding of internal audit methodology, as well as relevant frameworks and standards.
+ Acts as a risk and internal control expert for the business, possessing extensive technical expertise in specific subject areas, and identifies and engages subject matter experts as necessary.
+ Upholds a strong commitment to independent and objective decision making, demonstrating the ability to lead integrated audits covering various risk domains including IT, Compliance, Operations, and Finance.
+ Cultivates a culture of innovation and creativity that embraces emerging technology, reimagining how the department leverages data and technology, and advocates for digital initiatives.
+ Builds trust and credibility within the team at all levels and with stakeholders across the organization, while also anticipating stakeholder needs and fostering a client service-oriented mindset.
+ Promotes continuous learning and provides growth opportunities for team members, while also identifying and developing internal audit talent for cross-functional roles.
+ Stays informed of industry news, trends, and emerging risks while adopting an agile approach to adjust internal audit activities in response to evolving priorities or emerging risks.
+ Communicates the impact and priority of audit findings, considering the company’s risk tolerance and strategic initiatives.
+ Nurtures stakeholder relationships and promotes collaboration across risk functions, actively seeking input from stakeholders to continuously improve the internal audit function.

**What You Will Do:**

+ Strategically shape audit initiatives by leading the planning and delivery of projects, defining comprehensive scopes, effectively communicating with stakeholders, providing guidance and direction for audit projects, and training, coaching and mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to the IA methodology.
+ Cultivate and sustain strong relationships within the team at all levels and with stakeholders across the organization.
+ Drive the dynamic risk assessment process by leading the development of a risk-based audit plan and offering insights into industry-specific risks.
+ Deliver actionable strategic recommendations derived from industry expertise to strengthen the organization's risk management and internal controls and optimize operational efficiencies.
+ Lead transformational department initiatives.
+ Promote cross-functional collaboration by promoting teamwork among diverse teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and facilitate team growth.
+ Socialize audit reports by effectively communicating and presenting audit results to diverse audiences, facilitating understanding and engagement across stakeholders at various levels.

**What You Need:**

+ In-depth technical expertise and comprehensive knowledge of audit methodologies and professional standards.
+ Knowledge of the MedTech industry, including associated regulations and risks, is a plus.
+ Strong executive communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders and foster collaboration across teams.
+ Proven experience in leading teams, setting strategic initiatives, and successfully implementing them.
+ Possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
+ Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE or equivalent is required.
+ 12+ years of professional experience, including Big Four public accounting and leadership roles within audit and advisory services.
