Job Title: IT Architect for Data & Master Data
Location: Cracow, Poland
The IT Analytic Data Architect leads initiatives to develop and implement business-driven BI and analytics end-to-end solutions to enable business to win in the markets and gain competitive advantage.
The individual works with co system architect, database engineers, and database administrators to make architectural and implementation decisions.
The Data Architect oversees essential data governance within the IT analytic platform and associated systems.
This position requires an expert technical background, deep understanding and leadership of architectural principles, along with the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of stakeholders throughout software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Modeling and Design:
• Design scalable and efficient enterprise level data models on conceptual and logical levels that cater to the needs of
diverse businesses and functions while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
Contribute to the Enterprise Data
Model Development.
• Oversee the data interoperability, integration of data from multiple sources, including internal systems, external APIs, and
third-party vendors.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and needs to introduce them in enterprise
data models
• Build data linage models to monitor data interconnections between systems and have a map of data dependencies in
Galderma’s landscape
Data Governance and Standards
• Establish data Architecture frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure consistent data management practices across
the organization.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data architecture, including data flows, data dictionaries, data catalogues and system
dependencies.
• Play a role in data quality assurance practices to ensure data quality and governance across the architecture.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to enhance and drive innovation in data architecture practices.
Collaboration And Communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data engineers, to ensure alignment between
business requirements and technical solutions.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members and stakeholders on data architecture best practices and emerging
technologies
• Consult projects and implementation of new solutions from the perspective of Data Architecture
• Maintain collaboration with other Architects in Galderma IT Team, making sure they incorporate principles of Data
Architecture in the respective areas of responsibility
• Actively participates on wider communities of practice in Galderma IT, making sure best practices and experience is shared
with other teams
Technology
• Managing end-to-end data architecture, designing and implementing Enterprise Data Solutions.
• Defines reference architecture that can be use as pattern by other teams when designing solutions
• Evaluate technologies being used within the landscape, or which potentially might be used, perform assessments and optimization of technologies in the landscape, participate in the tools evaluation with 3rd party solutions
