**The Impact You'll Make**

As our new **Lead Design Engineer** , you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and excellence within our **PL40 Product Family team (Industrial Refrigeration)** .
Your mission will be to lead and manage the **Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)** process — ensuring that our products not only meet but exceed the highest standards of **quality, performance, and reliability** .
You’ll collaborate with a global, cross-functional team to continuously improve existing designs, implement new ideas, and contribute to the development of energy-efficient and sustainable refrigeration solutions that make a real impact in the industry.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

+ **Product Lifecycle Management** : Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the PL40 family, from conception to end-of-life, ensuring optimal performance and sustainability.
+ **Design Innovation** : Lead the design and development of new products and enhancements, incorporating cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
+ **Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams to align product development with business objectives.
+ **Quality Assurance** : Implement rigorous testing and quality control measures to ensure products meet Danfoss standards and customer expectations.
+ **Sustainability Focus** : Integrate sustainable practices into product design and lifecycle management, supporting Danfoss's commitment to environmental responsibility.

**What We're Looking For**

+ **Educational Qualifications** : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
+ **Experience** : 5+ years of experience in product design and lifecycle management, with a strong background in mechanical products.
+ **Technical Proficiency** : Expertise in 3D CAD software and PLM tools.
+ **Communication Skills** : Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
+ **Problem-Solving Abilities** : Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
+ **Team Leadership** : Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
+ **Pressure Equipment Directive (PED):** familiarity with the principles of design, manufacturing, and compliance of pressure equipment according to EU regulations.
