What you will be doing (Responsibilities)

• Shape the product strategy: Work with leadership to define and evolve the vision for Vitals, balancing merchant needs with long-term growth opportunities.

• Lead and develop a product team: Manage and mentor a growing team of Product Managers, ensuring alignment, growth, and high performance.

• Prototype AI-powered solutions: Use your technical background and AI tools to quickly create prototypes, test them with users, and iterate fast.

• Customer-first discovery: Run weekly customer interviews, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and identify opportunities to solve real problems at scale.

• Prioritize with impact: Break down complex initiatives, weigh trade-offs, and drive focus on what matters most across 40+ apps in our all-in-one solution.

• Collaborate with engineering & design: Partner closely with technical teams, speaking their language and accelerating delivery through clear, outcome-based thinking.

• Champion product excellence: Ensure solutions are not just functional but delightful, maintaining Vitals’ reputation as one of the most loved apps in the Shopify ecosystem.

What we’re looking for (Requirements)

• Proven product leadership: 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager in digital products, ideally in e-commerce or SaaS.

• Shopify expertise: You understand the Shopify ecosystem deeply – either from building apps or working directly with merchants.

• Engineering background: Hands-on technical experience (software engineering, prototyping, or similar).
  
  You don’t just manage specs – you can roll up your sleeves and build early concepts.

• AI-first mindset: Great at using AI tools for prototyping, analysis, and discovery.
  
  Experience leveraging AI in product workflows is a big plus.

• Analytical & user-focused: Strong ability to work with data and customer insights to guide prioritization and decision-making.

• Strategic & executional balance: You can zoom out to set vision and zoom in to solve detailed problems.

• Excellent communicator: Able to clearly express product ideas across teams, with structured writing and storytelling.

• Team leadership: Experience managing and mentoring Product Managers, fostering collaboration, and scaling product teams in a startup environment.

• Startup mindset: High energy, bias towards action, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure.

Bonus points

• Prior experience launching or scaling Shopify apps.

• Experience building AI-driven consumer or SaaS products.

• Strong UI/UX sense with the ability to sketch or prototype interfaces.

• Familiarity with Shape Up or other outcome-based product development frameworks.
