**Localization Expert**
As a Localization Expert at Lionbridge Games, you will serve as the go-to authority for linguistic accuracy, cultural authenticity, and localization strategy.
You will lead high-profile language efforts, provide deep linguistic consultation, and drive improvements in quality across multiple game titles and platforms.
With a focus on language excellence and process optimization, you will work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure flawless delivery in your target language.
**What You Will Do:**
· Act as the senior linguistic authority for your target language across multiple projects
· Lead the review of localized content for grammar, terminology, tone, and cultural relevance, ensuring adherence to client and platform guidelines
· Consult with developers, publishers, and internal stakeholders on language-specific challenges and strategy
· Define and maintain linguistic standards, style guides, and approved terminology
· Perform root cause analysis for recurring linguistic issues and drive solutions in collaboration with localization leads and engineers
· Support tool and process optimization from a linguistic perspective, contributing to efficiency and consistency across teams
· Mentor Localization Consultants and Technicians, providing guidance on quality, client feedback, and testing methodology
· Partner with QA and Localization Engineering teams to validate proper implementation of linguistic assets
· Provide detailed reports and strategic recommendations to project managers and client-facing teams
· Represent your language and region in client meetings, audits, and quality reviews
**To Be Successful You Will Have:**
· Native fluency in **[Insert Language Here]** and full professional proficiency in English
· 7+ years of experience in game localization or media translation, with a proven record of leadership in language quality
· Expert-level knowledge of grammar, regional variation, tone, and cultural nuance within your language

· Strong analytical and communication skills, especially when working across global and cross-functional teams
· Experience building and maintaining linguistic assets including glossaries, style guides, and tone guidelines
· Passion for video games and a deep understanding of genre-specific terminology and platform requirements
· Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Localization, or a related field preferred
