Purpose of the position:
The Manager, Business Partner Master Data (BPMD) is responsible for managing a team of GPO/S (process owners & specialists).
The role focuses on strategic aspects rather than operational and is responsible for overseeing the long term value of the department.
This includes, but is not limited to, change management, stakeholder management, employee management, project management.
The BPMD department includes customers data, vendors data, banks data, staff data, intercompany data, address data and various tools / systems such as SAP MDG, AVS and Vendor Portal.
Key Tasks
Employee management:
Set strategic goals for team, aligned with mgmt.
& organizational goalsContinuously develop & motivate team, provide tools / resources needed to meet strategic goalsPrioritize the well being and work life balance of the team Communication with higher professionals:
Build fact & number-based business cases to management for decisions utilizing various tools and techniquesStakeholder management, communication, queries management, cross functional collaboration with upper management and stakeholders regardless of level Task management:
Oversee departmental projects to ensure set targets are achievedAd-hoc requests from upper managementDocumentation: Ensure all documentation is consistently reviewed, updated and publishedEnsure risks to BPMD processes are identified, planned and mitigated Data Quality Monitoring & Maintenance: Strategically identify DQM tools that help manage data quality, build business cases for management for decisions and implement approved toolsEnsure DQM targets are metEnsure strategic & systematic root cause analysis on low data quality and ensure long term corrective actions are swiftly implemented Education & Training: Ensure the E&T governance is respected by all partiesEnsure strategic trainings are conducted benefiting all parties Continuous Improvement: Ensure Audits governance is respected by all partiesEnsure an improvement pipeline is built, prioritized, approved by management where needed and improvements implemented General: Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education Our requirements:
Functional Knowledge
Must have experience with Customer, Vendor, Bank, IC and various other business partner related master data management processesMust have experience with process management - mapping, descriptions, improving processes utilizing various methodologiesNice to have Experience with MDG & ERPExperience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma for continuous improvement, root cause analysisProject management knowledge e.g. planning, prioritization, risk / issue management Competencies - Soft skills
