**Job Description**

Danfoss is looking for a **Mechanical Engineer** to be part of the Research and Development Team in Danfoss Climate Solutions and will report to the Senior Manager, R&D

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team focused on bringing a product from concept to final design, integrating research findings into workable product solutions.

This role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities.

You’ll collaborate closely with business development, engineering, and production teams to ensure product excellence and customer satisfaction.

**Job Responsibilities**

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

+ **Product design** : Develop detailed designs, prototypes, and support the transition to full-scale production.

Ensure that the product meets necessary performance and quality standards.
+ **Conduct research, develop new concepts, and apply cutting-edge technologies:** Develop and optimize new products, create prototypes, and perform initial testing of innovative ideas
+ **Operational support:** Execute and implement designs for One-Time Adaptations (OTA).

Work closely with Application and Process engineers to ensure customer demands are integrated in the design.

Participate in RCPS and production feedback meetings and implement Design to manufacturing and design to cost principles
+ **Standardization:** Develop new concepts, apply cutting-edge technologies, and create optimized product solutions.

Design, prototype, and conduct initial testing of innovative ideas.

Focus on modularization.

**Background & Skills**

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

+ 3+ years of experience in mechanical design
+ Industry knowledge/experience in piping and new product development
+ System engineering background
+ Knowledge of key IT tools (MS Office, SAP - Business Intelligence Warehouse, Salesforce)
+ Proactive, motivated, and self-driven
+ Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline driven environment
+ Technical proficiency
+ Very good command of English in writing & speech
