Production Control Manager Position in Zavzerni - Amentum


Job description

****This position is pending Government Approval****

**Purpose:** The Production Control Manager is responsible for all production control functions (i.e., Master Schedule, work order management, planning and reporting) covering Remote Distribution Center – Ukraine (RDC-U) site.

The Production Control Manager ensures supervision of Global Combat Support System (GCSS-A) Production Control Systems and coordinates directly with Maintenance Manager.

This position interfaces with the Director of Logistics, Government Site Leads, contracting officials, and subordinate managers / technicians to discuss status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

The Production Control Manager manages Production Control planning of a variety of standard and classified (U.S. only) Information Technology (IT) systems, such as, U.S. Army Logistic Information Systems (LIS) to include the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), and Global Combat Service and Support – Army (GCSS-Army).

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Directs the efforts of the Production Control and GCSS-A production control clerks.
+ Ensures that all the equipment repaired, serviced, and retained at the repair facilities is correctly reported in GCSS-A for readiness and custodial records.
+ Manages and facilitate all aspects of production and material control.
+ Directs and supervises the use of GCSS-A to accomplish all maintenance missions.
+ Supervises, coordinate and oversee the activities within production planning and material control
+ Establishes sequences and timeframes for manufacturing operations to include the scheduling of equipment and personnel in order to meet production requirements.
+ Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production requirements.
+ Coordinates production schedules and resource allocation for multiple programs and products.
+ Hands-on development and maintenance of production schedules includes advising on capability to support delivery requirements for upcoming and proposed efforts.
+ Supervises and coordinates changes in scheduling to accommodate special requests and /or emergency conditions.
+ Establish operational priorities when necessary.
+ Coordinates material movement between supply inventories and production areas.
+ Supervises material and supply inventories.

Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications and schedules.
+ Confirms material supply and demands.
+ Supervise and oversee the labor resources and short-term capacity requirements from engineering plans and production specifications.
+ Prepare and maintain, as required, an overall master schedule, reflecting conflicts between labor, material and project schedules.
+ Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
+ Assists with “make or buy” decisions based on scheduling and delivery requirements.
+ Develops new business through expansion of existing work or through new opportunities.
+ Resolves operational issues.
+ Reports information as tasked by the customer.
+ Ensures strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures.
+ Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.
+ Adheres to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.
+ Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

**Education:**

+ Bachelor's degree required.

**Experience:**

+ 3 years recent specialized experience with bachelor’s degree.

In lieu of bachelor’s degree 11 years of recent specialized experience is required.

+ Experience with GCSS-A Plant 2000, cargo documentation, logistical movement control, and supervising freight customs, receipt, storage, and issue, required.

**Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

+ Expert user of GCSS-A and/or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
+ Ability to access and handle all end items, components, subsystems and repair parts with a sensitive or classified coding
+ Must be able to qualify for and operate Government provided light vehicles.
+ Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
+ Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
+ Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Tactical Supply and/or Maintenance Systems Course.
+ GCSS-A Warehouse and Materiel Management Course.
+ International driver’s license prior to deployment preferred.

**Certification, License & Clearance:**

+ Valid US Driver’s license required.
+ US Citizenship required.
+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CAC, if required.

**Facility credentials/authorization required** :

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility and credential /authorization:

Note- US Citizenship is required for facility credential/authorization at this work location.

**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:**

+ Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
+ Must be able to lift 50lbs.
+ Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
+ Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
+ When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
