Role description



We are seeking an experienced Sales Director with a proven track record in international expansion to lead the global sales of innovativ advertising solutions powered by transacional data.

This role involves commercializing products in new international markets, building strategic partnerships with global media houses and financial institutions, and developing and managing an international sales team.




Responsibilities:


International Expansion and Commercialization:



  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for new international territories with our payment data-powered advertising portfolio.

  • Identify and prioritize target marktes based on business potential and regulatory landscape.

  • Adapt business models to local market specifics while ensuring compliance with financial data regulations.

  • Build go-to-marekt strategies for retail media solutions and advertising platforms tailored for the financial sector.


International Key Account Management:



  • Establish and nurture relationships with international media houses, agency networks, and financial institutions.

  • Lead negotiations for framework agreements and distribution partnerships at regional and global levels.

  • Manage RFP/RFI processes for large international tenders.

  • Collaborate with foreign financial institutions on custom advertising platform implementations


Team Development and Management:



  • Build and scale an international sales organization, including recruitment of regional sales managers.

  • Implement scalable sales processes adaptable across different markets.

  • Provide mentorship and develop team competencies in data-driven solution selling.

    Deploy reporting systems and KPIs tailored to international market dynamics.


Product Portfolio Development:



  • Drive the development and positioning of three key product lines: display and email marketing solutions powered by transactional data, retail media platforms for e-commerce and retail sectors, and dedicated advertising platforms for financial institutions.

  • Collaborate with product teams to localize solutions for specific market requirements.


  • Develop pricing strategies that reflect regional market conditions and competitive landscapes.


Requirements and skills we are looking for this role:


Professional Experience:



  • Minimum 8 years of international sales experience in AdTech, MarTech, or FinTech solutions, including at least 4 years in a leadership position with responsibility for international expansion.

  • Proven success in commercializing technology products in at least 3 different international markets.

  • Experience selling to the financial sector or partnering with financial institutions is a significant advantage.

  • Knowledge of the retail media ecosystem and omnichannel marketing trends.

  • Proven ability to work in multicultural environments and manage distributed teams effectively.


Business Competencies:



  • Deep understanding of international advertising markets and media house partnership models.


  • Demonstrated experience in building and scaling international sales teams.

  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments regarding financial data usage across different jurisdictions.


  • Familiarity with GDPR, PSD2, and other regulations affecting data usage in marketing.


Other requirements:



  • Fluent English proficiency (C2 level) - mandatory requirement.


  • Additional languages (German, French, Spanish) are advantageous.


  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills at C-level executive engagement.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (minimum 40% of working time, including travel outside Europe).
