HydronicS is looking for a **Senior Application Software Engineer** to advance model-based design for data center cooling systems and the district energy networks of tomorrow.

With data center demand accelerating globally, this is your opportunity to help shape sustainable and efficient solutions while strengthening a highly specialized engineering team.

**Your Impact**

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in designing and developing model-based control systems that enhance efficiency and sustainability.

You will be organizationally part of the MBD Development Team, working closely with four highly specialized Application Engineers.

Your day-to-day work will be based in our new office building in Tuchom, Poland, where you will get to see the final products come to life from the factory assembly line that uses the controller and software you will be developing.

You get to interact with Application Engineers, Product Managers mechanical, electrical, and production engineers, ensuring seamless integration of innovative technologies into new products.

Expect 10–30 travel days per year for team meetings in Nordborg, occasional on-site customer visits, and collaboration activities, fostering knowledge-sharing across locations.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

As an Application Software Engineer, you'll apply cutting-edge model-based design to optimize performance and efficiency in our heating and cooling solutions.

Your expertise will build on top of our modern engineering workflows, leveraging digital tools to solve complex challenges.

By merging technical leadership with advanced system modeling, you'll help drive sustainable, high-performance heating solutions for a greener future..

+ Complete discrete MBD (Model Based Design) tasks to meet design and project objectives
+ Design thermodynamic systems or sub-systems for future district heating networks
+ Develop the future way of making applications for electronic controllers
+ Collaborate closely with colleagues in Nordborg R&D while maintaining contact with engineering, production, and portfolio teams in Tuchom to support efficient implementation of solutions

**What We're Looking For**

You excel in clear, effective communication across diverse teams, from senior leaders to global suppliers and customers.

A positive, ownership-driven approach is key, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

+ Degree in Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
+ 5+ years of experience in applied engineering roles
+ Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink (essential)
+ Solid understanding of control theory in dynamical systems
+ Embedded software engineering experience (C code experience is a plus)
+ Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
+ Familiarity with Model-Based Design processes and tools such as Modelica/Dymola
+ Fluent in English (written and spoken)
+ Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across R&D, production, and supply chain functions
