🎯 The project
We’re looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join a team supporting our client — a leading player in the automotive industry, currently driving a large-scale initiative to build a unified data platform that will shape how connected vehicle data is used across Europe.
The goal is to create a modern, scalable platform (built on Databricks on AWS) that consolidates client's vehicle data from multiple sources into one ecosystem, enabling analytics, AI/ML innovation, and data-driven decision-making.
You’ll be part of an international team working with data mesh and lakehouse principles, helping design, develop, and maintain a platform that ensures data quality, security, and interoperability — while unlocking new business value for the client’s connected vehicle services.
What you’ll do:
Configure and administer the Databricks data platform on AWS using Terraform, ensuring smooth setup, deployment, and operation.
Be part of the core team designing and maintaining the data architecture and platform structure.
Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines from diverse vehicle data sources.
Design and implement ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability end to end.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust data models and solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance, ensuring high availability and secure operations.
Apply CI/CD best practices for data products and maintain clear documentation of your work.
Support and mentor team members, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.
You might be the perfect match if you possess the following competencies:
Solid hands-on experience deploying and operating data platforms (preferably Databricks) on AWS or Azure.
Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Terraform.
Strong background in data pipeline development, ETL/ELT, and data orchestration frameworks.
Understanding of data lakehouse and data mesh concepts.
Comfortable working with CI/CD, version control (Git), and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Strong English communication skills
A collaborative, proactive attitude — you enjoy solving complex data challenges as part of a cross-functional team.
