**Role Overview**
We are seeking a Senior Privacy Technology Manager with a strong technical background and hands-on experience in privacy-enabling technologies.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to roll up their sleeves while guiding a small team of developers.
Senior Privacy Technology Manager will be responsible for architecting and building privacy technologies—leveraging APIs, AI, and cloud infrastructure—while also mentoring and managing a globally distributed team.
This is a hybrid role combining leadership, strategy, and direct technical execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
Leadership & Strategy
+ Lead and mentor a small team of developers.
+ Define and drive the privacy tech roadmap in alignment with legal, compliance, and business goals.
+ Translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Hands-On Development
+ Actively contribute to coding, architecture, and system design.
+ Conduct code reviews and guide best practices in development.
+ Build and maintain privacy automation tools, APIs, and data inventory systems.
+ Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Project & Stakeholder Management
+ Manage onboarding of brands to privacy platforms and APIs.
+ Coordinate cross-functional efforts across legal, engineering, and product teams.
+ Present technical strategies and progress to senior leadership.
**Qualifications**
Must-Have:
+ 5+ years in software development or privacy engineering.
+ 2+ years managing developers or technical teams.
+ Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java.
+ Deep understanding of privacy principles (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
+ Proven experience in global or cross-regional roles.
+ Comfortable working in a small, agile team with high ownership.
+ Familiarity with data mapping, lineage, and cataloging tools.
+ Knowledge of data governance and information security principles.
+ Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks.
Preferred:
+ Experience with LLMs and unstructured data analysis.
+ Background in media, entertainment, or tech industries.
+ Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, or OneTrust Professional.
+ Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
