Overview:
Software & Hardware Asset Management is responsible for managing IT assets across their entire lifecycle.
This includes optimizing value and cost, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance from asset selection through operation, refresh, migration, and disposal.
The team governs this lifecycle and provides data-driven insights to improve asset management practices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage license consumption metering processes for software and services Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with licensing terms Define and implement license usage policies aligned with business needs Analyze license usage data to identify optimization opportunities Manage contracts and vendor relationships to maximize value and control costs Maintain a centralized repository of license-related documentation Support software procurement in line with internal policies Contribute to budgeting and cost monitoring for software products Act as the main contact during external audits Provide strategic and tactical input on software licensing decisions Advise project and portfolio managers on licensing and compliance Stay up to date with licensing models and industry trends Run internal license governance and reporting Cooperate with external suppliers and consulting partners Represent the company at external SAM events and conferences Identify and remove blockers, propose improvements
Requirements:
Proven experience in software asset management, license administration, and compliance Strong knowledge of desktop and mid-tail software licensing principles and contracts Experience working in a global, cross-cultural environment Familiarity with ITSM and SAM tools (e.g. SAM Pro, FNMEA, FNMS, FlexeraOne) High level of ownership and proactivity Ability to understand and balance stakeholder needs, including executive-level engagement Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong analytical skills and comfort working with multi-source data Technical background is a plus University degree in a relevant field Full professional proficiency in English Experience in vendor management and negotiation is an asset
