Your role in the Team

You'll be leading a small, close-knit team of developers working closely with the dealing desk to deliver a green field project built on Linux server software for our high throughput market making systems.

We're looking for somebody who is excited to work with large scale low latency high-frequency data systems.

What you’ll do

You will be a hands on Technical Team Lead willing to lead by example so you shouldn't be afraid to occassionally get your hands dirty doing the following:

  • Implementing new features in code

  • Debugging and fixing issues

  • Working with the Product Manager to schedule work for the team and the business

  • Improving the Team's roadmap

  • Running Sprints and Retros

  • In addition you will be expected to coach and mentor your team members on technical and ways of working subjects.

    What you’ll need for this role

    You'll be leading teams of C++, Java and QA automation developers, coaching and mentoring them on technical topics, ways-of-working subjects, gathering technical specifications and liasing with business stakeholders.

    So we are looking for candidates who have a relevant technical degree as well as the following:

  • Technical Team leadership

  • Risk management and compliance

  • Stakeholder management

  • Continuous improvement

  • Experience leading and inspiring technology teams with a passion for great team culture

  • A firm understanding of Agile and the desire to push improvements

  • Experience and proficiency in design at system and component levels
