Our Test Development Engineers for compute products design, develop and implement test processes in manufacturing to support new product launches in mass production. In this role you will be part of a global, diverse and collaborative team and contributing on high sophisticated compute and sensing products driving to a saver, greener and more connected future.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize manufacturing functional tests (electrical and optical functional product requirements), working with the product development design experts
Lead the acquisition of new Test-equipment (Statement of work, Request for quotation, supplier nomination, design reviews, Equipment acceptance at supplier) to comply with industrialization timing
Cooperate with the Aptiv manufacturing location to receive the equipment and install, debug and release the equipment (including Test Software development, strain measurements, process capability studies, Environmental Health and Safety review / release).
Establish documentation and provide training for test equipment and process in accordance to Aptiv guidelines
Ensure test equipment compliance in terms of product quality, test requirements (Functional safety, Cyber Security, customer requirements), and costs
Support product development team and collaborate closely with Lead manufacturing Engineer to ensure flawless launches by applying and supporting tools like (P-FMEA, Error proofing, Test coverage analysis, Six Sigma)
Perform product label drawing design review and lead the approval process
Plan and conduct Test Peer Reviews
Support in OEM (Customer)RFQ phase by estimating equipment cost, lead time, and test times
Support Lessons learned sharing between sites and between Product Lines
Participate in escalation meetings on program management level
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or similar with relevant work experiences
Proficient software development skills in one or more of the following software languages: National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, C
Basic Project management capabilities
Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design of test tooling
Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach and flashing concepts of memory devices
Knowledge in 6-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods
Good problem solving capability, including hands on capability for S/W debugging.
Know-how on electronics measurement device and equipment
Ability to work in a global network environment
