POSITION SUMMARY & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Project Manager we are looking for will play a key role in successfully implementing our Center of Excellence for Project and Resource Management and will assume the role of CoE Project Management Leader. That role will be responsible for recruiting and developing the project management team and will work in close collaboration with the ARM CoE Deployment Leader, the RM EMEA Manager and the Head of A&S Operations EMEA.
Next to the people management aspects, that role will also serve our clients and partners with leaders in sales and human resources (HR) consulting to ensure that a project is planned, implement and and executed in a manner that meets and exceeds client and internal expectations. This key role generally involves delivering tailored and customized HR solutions and professional services for large scale projects to a wide variety of global clients. The ideal candidate will have project management experience in the Business or HR Consulting arena.
PRIMARY PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure customer satisfaction and professional client interactions through seamless delivery of
Korn Ferry solutions to clients.
• Develop expertise in Korn Ferry’s solutions, as well as being able to discuss all Korn Ferry (KF) Advisory’s broader offerings. This to be able to advise internal client teams and to understand client’s context and needs.
• Assist internal teams during the sales cycle by contributing to and reviewing the project proposal and scope to determine timeframe and budgets. Discuss scope implications for design.
• Partner with consultants to support business development and delivery colleagues to identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand business.
• Develop project governance and oversight framework, assuring appropriate communication between all workstreams and lines of business.
• Partner with the engagement manager to staff the project appropriately, including onboarding and transitions. And ensure team members have the tools and resources they need for executing the project.
• Apply best practices and identify processes to improve delivery. Able to advise and influence others on best practices.
• Manage the execution of large-scale projects, which may include multiple consulting workstreams, multiple solutions and stakeholder management for internal and external project team.
• End-to-end project lifecycle management, including initiation and setup, planning for an accurate delivery of the work, accurate follow up of project execution, tracking and report to internal and external stakeholders, and closing out when complete.
• Manage scope to ensure delivery against desired project outcomes, deadlines, and budget. Identify, monitor, and mitigate issues and risks as needed.
• Manage project financials including monitoring the budget, revenue forecasting, billing process, time and expenses, invoicing.
• Create the project forecasting and anticipate adjustments, track and escalate issues, propose mitigation solutions, and manage revenue margin improvement plans.
• Serve as primary point of contact for client information, updates, delivery, issue resolution and data tracking.
• Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings that balance consensus building with decision-making; document and communicate outcomes/actions.
• Provide project work direction for the project support team.
• Take an active role in quality assurance. Includes quality management plans and assuring all client-facing documents are reviewed for accuracy and consistency.
• Oversee vendors and external contractors, following internal processes and contract management.

PRIMARY PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to EMEA and PM initiatives as required.
• Cascade leadership strategy and information
• Performance management & coaching of direct reports, to the PM Performance standards.
• Drive accountability and compliance for PM team member metrics and performance standards.
• Drive awareness and processes of financial health of engagements and deadlines.
• Escalate performance issues.
• Ensure ongoing capability building of Project Management team to deliver new and enhanced offerings.
• Monitor retention and engagement at the team and individual level - support team leads with career path conversations.
• Monitor & support PM recruitment, selection & on-boarding.
• Provide training and shadowing as needed.
• Monitor team capacity on an on-going basis, assist RM in matching appropriate PM talent to support client work.
• Recommend/request development assignments that meet team member development areas.
• Implement and work to agreed best practices and support the continuous improvement of processes and quality standards.
• Deliver on Service Level Agreements; Ensure customer satisfaction through flawless delivery of Korn Ferry solutions.
• Identify and resolve problems, immediate and systemic, to improve underlying processes.
• Collaborate with other functional leaders to execution our strategy, align on processes and resolve issues.
PROFESSONIAL EXPERIENCE, OTHER QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• 6-8 years of experience in project or account management with an understanding of business and effective management practices.
• Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience successfully managing large, complex projects. Experience with global project management preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to learn challenging internal software programs.
• Experience with Project Management (Smartsheet, PlanView,…) tools and/or SAP is a plus.
• Project Management Professional certification (PMP) or equivalent certification applied outside of IT settings is a plus.
• Ideal candidate has experience in working in training or consulting firm whose focus is people performance improvement.
• High detail orientation with the ability to understand the big picture.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with cross-functional and remote
teams, at all levels of the organization, both internally and with clients.
• Provide a consultative approach to working with client and internal teams, adding strategic value, and building strong, long-term partnerships.

• Ability to influence people and resources to ensure project teams deliver consistently high-quality services to our clients.
• Business skills and aptitude to understand the components of and run a fiscally successful project.
• Comfort in working with people from diverse backgrounds (e.g., race, gender, orientation, cultural, etc.).
• Occasional travel is likely.
• EDUCATION
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business or in a related field is highly preferred.
