Responsibilities

At evopark we are building parking managementsoftware which is easy and intuitive to work with. To enable ourfurther growth, we are searching for an excellent backend developerto join our existing team.

Job Description

• Continually enhance evoparktogether with your fellow developers by developing secure,well-tested, and performant features and improvements that not onlywork today but will stand the test of time.
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style,maintainability and best practices for a high-scale webenvironment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through codereview.
• Be part of the product managingprocess and iteratively conceive new features for evopark.
• Advocate for improvements to productquality, security, performance and architecture, especially sincewe are transforming a well-established classic Rails application toan API-only backend.
• Recognize impedimentsto our efficiency as a team (be they due to technical debt orinadequate processes — and propose and implement solutions).
• Evaluate the production behavior of evoparkin our SaaS infrastructure as well as on-premises.

Requirements

Musthave

• Your understanding of theRuby on Rails Framework, relational databases and web technologiesin general is solid – successful candidates in this role typicallyhave at least 5 years of experience in those fields.
• You have shown the ability to craft applications thatwhile catering to a complex feature set are stable, scalable, fastand flexible.
• You are comfortable working ina highly agile, intensely iterative software development process.
• You have effective communication skills(both written and verbal) to achieve consensus with peers andprovide clear status updates. Our team communication is in English.
• Hands-On mentality

Nice to have

• You candeliver the full stack (VueJS RoR & Operations on Linux andAWS)
• You have successfully developed APIs
• You have experience with another stack (e.g.Python, NodeJs or GoLong)
