As a fully qualified professional with strong experience in financial accounting and tax (and ideally some management accounts!) you will be responsible for the finance and accounting in our Polish subsidiary of Mindray Europe. Your responsibilities: Financial Accounting Managing the full set of accounting books and related accounting affairs. Including transactional entry level tasks within SAP. Review financial reporting and monthly reconciliations and responsible for ensuring Polish subsidiary reports within prescribed timeframes. (Closing of month end 2.5 days). Preparation of the more complex reporting requirements and reconciliations. Maintains accounting practices to ensure data necessary for business operations is accurate and reliable. Prepare financial statements ensuring accounts are correctly represented and in line with reporting standards. Liaising with external business partners – Bankers, Auditors, Tax Authorities and Solicitors etc. Submits group reporting package to EU Finance team, together with supporting documentation. Support EU Finance team in executing accounting procedures and related internal controls in accordance with group GAAP. Review and approval of purchase requests and invoices within Concur invoice platform. Taxes & Compliance Preparation of Country specific VAT and EC Intra community returns and ensuring compliance with Local VAT reporting guidelines and legislation. Review of Corporation Tax preparations and calculations Any other tax compliance obligations which may occur with business growth. GUS Statistical reporting Management Accounting Preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budgets to include business partnering and supporting explanations. Monthly Variance analysis and explanations Monthly Cash flow and related AR Forecasting Preparation of reports and statistical data detailing financial results that meets the requirements from local management. Assist EU Finance team for preparation of management information and explanations. Management & department development Report regularly to EU Finance Manager and support requests from EU Finance team. Business partner to Country General Manager Interprets financial transactions and events for management Ad Hoc reports for local management Ad Hoc reports and projects for EU Finance team. What are we looking for in you? Strong previous experience in a financial accounting and tax role Comprehensive Polish statutory accounts preparation experience In depth and working knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, Polish GAAP etc.) Strong experience of preparation of Polish VAT/CT and related legislations Knowledge and professional experience of SAP S4 HANA would be an asset Experience of successful people management At least 5 years post qualification experience Ability to work across Poland without requiring company visa sponsorship Proven negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude Flexible to travel as required What’s in it for you?
